I document my life because life is FUN!

Happy Living on a cruise to the Bahamas!
Having a personal blog serves many purposes. It can be entertaining to faithful readers, a blogging model for others, a door for ideologies, a window for public comment, but to me, it is a documentary, a diary, a daily or weekly confession to family, friends, and to the world of who I really am!

I consider my life fun, entertaining, silly, comical (at times), and without letting an adjective go to my head: Inspiring!

How long should we blog for? For as long as it keeps us entertained. This week my blog hit over 2,000 viewers since August 2010 (11 months). That's an average of 182 viewers a month. Of course, other blogs have hundreds of views per day, but those figures do not concern me as much as presenting my take on life to people who find it interesting and perhaps inspiring?

I see abandoned blogs all the time; their authors seem to have left their mark for someone to stumble upon. Perhaps it was their life seal, their personal homage, their single statement to the world that they existed. It doesn't matter to me why they stopped, it is theirs to do with whatever they please.

Many writers never blog, and I would have never started if it wasn't because I was drawn in by a colleague's invitation to her blog. I'm a writer, a freelance columnist and reporter, an avid traveler, a photographer, and I enjoy living a happy life, so I thought why not?

Back in August of last year, this blog started giving advice to would be writers, but I changed it in March 2011 to what it is today: a One Day at a Time, Happy Living blog! Writing my experiences and observations takes me back to happy moments and makes me enjoy them even more. At the end, what I leave you with are my words, my pictures, my life, and hopefully inspiration to live your life happy and joyful.

Hey, a book might come out of this, or a movie, or a documentary... ~ Allow me to think big!
